are you a master at manifesting… the negative?

You open your eyes to a knot in your stomach. Maybe it’s the weight of the world, or maybe it’s just… life, piling up again. You roll over, check your bank balance, and there it is. That familiar sinking feeling. Another unexpected bill. Another reminder that somehow, no matter how careful you are, money always seems to disappear faster than it arrives.
You sigh, already bracing for the day. However, you soon discover that the traffic’s even worse than usual. You spill coffee down the front of your only clean top. Your phone dies right when you need it most. And you find yourself whispering under your breath, again, “Why does this always happen to me?”
What if, though, it’s not bad luck? Not punishment. Not even coincidence.
What if it’s you? Not in the self-blaming way. Not in the “you’re doing it wrong” way.
In the powerful, unseen, soul-shaking way.
What if you are (without even realising it) a master at manifestation… just not in the direction you hoped? What if your energy, your thoughts, your quiet inner monologue have been so potent, so consistent, that they’ve been scripting your life like clockwork? Not because you’re broken. But because you’re powerful. You just haven’t been shown how to wield it differently… yet.
Manifesting isn’t just for vision boards and moonlit rituals. It’s not some mystical process reserved only for your biggest dreams. It’s happening right now in the quiet hum of your thoughts, in the subtle sighs you release when no one’s looking, in the silent stories you tell yourself as you go about your day.
You manifest in the ordinary. In the unconscious.
Every doubt you breathe beneath your smile. Every time you brace for something to go wrong. Every moment you tell yourself, “It’s always hard for me” or “I guess this is just how it is”. These are not just thoughts. They are energetic blueprints. Instructions sent out into the universe. And the universe listens.
So, when you say, “I don’t want more bills”, yet your body clenches with fear every time you check your bank account, your energy is speaking scarcity, not safety. And that’s what you call in. However, here’s where it gets powerful, transformative even: You’re already manifesting. You already have the power. You’re just pointing the signal in a direction you didn’t mean to.
So, what if you turned it around? What if you began to whisper new truths such as “I am safe. I am supported. I am capable. I am open”?
Because the magic you’re looking for? It’s not somewhere else. It’s already alive in you. It’s simply waiting to be remembered and redirected.
You say you want ease, confidence, joy. Yet beneath the surface, your energy tells another story. And it’s not your fault, it’s habit, conditioning, protective patterns on autopilot. Here’s the hard truth, however: the universe doesn’t just hear your words. It responds to your frequency. And your frequency is shaped by what lives behind the scenes.
Let’s look at a few moments you might know all too well…
You over-schedule your day - it starts with big, hopeful intentions. You plan everything just right, maybe even colour-coded and fuelled by dreams of finally getting ahead. And then? That ache in your chest begins. “I won’t finish it all. I never do”. Your nervous system floods. Panic sets in. You stall. Fret. Freeze. Suddenly you’re spiralling, avoiding, checking your phone, forgetting what mattered. What began as a burst of motivation has crumbled into a quiet shame storm. And the kicker? That scattered energy… that became the reality. Not because you’re lazy. Rather because some part of you still believes, “I’m not enough”.
You have a “just in case” thought - you’re driving. Everything’s fine. Then a whisper: “What if I crash?” You shake it off, however you’re rattled. Ten minutes later, you scrape the side of your door on a parking pillar. Minor? Yes. Eerie, though, isn’t it? Like your fear created a magnet. Because in a way, it did. Your subconscious was already practicing the outcome, building the blueprint with every tense grip of the steering wheel.
You try to affirm your worth, yet the words don’t land - you tell yourself, “I hope I get the promotion”. However, the next sentence creeps in quietly, “…though I probably don’t deserve it”. That doubt, disguised as humility, is louder than your intention. The universe hears your conflicted energy and pauses, because you have. You’re asking with crossed fingers instead of open palms.
You scroll, scroll, scroll - a friend is on holiday. Someone else just got engaged. That old classmate bought a house. “Why is it so easy for them?” you think. The voice sneaks in, bitter and tired: “I’ll never have that”. You close the app, deflated. And yet the energy stays. You didn’t just compare, you unconsciously confirmed your lack. And your vibration dipped to match.
These moments may seem small. Harmless, even. However, energy doesn’t speak in volume, it speaks in alignment. These aren’t just random emotional wobbles. They’re unconscious instructions. Invisible scripts you didn’t mean to write, yet still perform.
Your subconscious has been manifesting beautifully all along. Just not in the direction you thought.
So, what if these weren’t failures… rather they are proof? Proof that your manifesting ability is already strong, simply misdirected. Proof that the thoughts you repeat, the emotions you rehearse, the fears you coddle… they matter. Not because they make you wrong, rather because they shape your field.
If your energy can paint pictures of struggle with such precision, then imagine what it could do if anchored in clarity, in trust, in worthiness.
You’re not broken. You’re powerful.
You’re not bad at manifesting. You’ve simply been manifesting from survival, not self-belief.
However, the good news is: you can change that. You don’t need to silence every doubt. You don’t need to fake confidence. You simply need to notice the moments you drift out of alignment and gently guide yourself back. Because your energy is always speaking. Let’s help it say what your soul truly wants to be heard.
Since you were little, you’ve been told to whisper your dreams… if you dared to speak them at all. Remember those birthday candles? Eyes closed, breath held, silently wishing… and being warned not to say it out loud or it wouldn’t come true. That moment, wrapped in magic, was also wrapped in fear - fear that naming your desire might jinx it.
And so, the pattern began.
You learned early that longing should be quiet. That hope should be cautious. That asking too directly was dangerous… because what if it didn’t happen? What if your heart got broken?
Even now, as an adult, that quiet programming lingers. You temper your desires with disclaimers: “If it’s meant to be…” You soften your voice when speaking what you really want. You convince yourself that staying vague will protect you from disappointment. However, what it actually does is keep you from fully living.
This isn’t your fault - it’s how we were raised. These protective stories were meant to shield us from pain, instead, however, they’ve taught us to shrink. To doubt. To hesitate. And every time you hesitate, every time you pull your energy back from the fullness of your desire… you block it. Not because you’re undeserving, because you’ve been taught it’s safer not to believe too much.
However, your desires were never meant to be whispered. They were meant to be claimed. Boldly. Bravely. Out loud. Because you are allowed to want what you want. And it’s safe to ask for it, with your whole heart.
There’s something incredibly liberating about realising you’ve been powerful all along, even when life has felt out of control. That your energy has always been working… it’s just been dialled to a frequency shaped by fear, doubt, and old stories. The question isn’t “Why am I so bad at manifesting?” It’s “What if I’m actually excellent at manifesting - I’ve just been focused on the wrong frequency?”
Here’s how to begin shifting that story, not through shame or struggle, rather through awareness, compassion, and empowered redirection.
Observe Without Judgment - take a breath. Look back at your day, your week, your month. Did your worry about being late somehow “coincidentally” lead to a traffic jam? Did your fear of not having enough invite another unexpected bill? This isn’t failure - this is proof that you’re energetically influential. Say it with a little smirk if you need to: “Okay, Universe. I see it now. I am a powerful manifestor… maybe just a little off-key.” Let that realisation feel like a light turning on. This isn’t about guilt — it’s about reclaiming your power.
Feel the Feeling of “Already There” - here’s where it starts to get juicy. Instead of focusing on the absence of what you want (“I need more money,” “I wish I had love,” “I just want peace”), start tuning in to the feeling of already having it. Let your body soften into the relief of the bill being paid. Let your heart swell with the joy of being deeply loved. Let your breath slow with the peace of knowing everything is okay. You’re not faking it, you’re rehearsing your future. You’re aligning with what’s possible and making it familiar to your nervous system before it arrives.
Reframe Your Inner Dialogue - your subconscious listens closely, and it takes you literally. So, when you say things like “I always mess things up” or “Nothing ever works out for me,” your inner world starts painting by those lines. Try gentler, more expansive language instead. Turn “I always…” into “I’m learning to…” or “I’m beginning to…”
For example:
· “I’m becoming magnetic to creative solutions”
· “I choose to trust that life supports me”
· “I am remembering how to feel safe in my desires”
Language doesn’t just describe your world, it shapes it.
Embrace Negative Manifestations as Feedback, Not Failure - when something goes wrong, it’s tempting to spiral: Why does this keep happening? What’s wrong with me? What if, however, you treated the moment like a mirror, not a punishment? Ask gently: “What energy was I holding that might have shaped this?”
Maybe your worry created tension that led to a missed opportunity. Maybe your resentment called in more conflict. These are not cosmic slaps on the wrist, they are signals. Feedback. The universe is generous like that. When you stop fearing the negative and start reading it like a map, everything changes.
· Use Simple Rituals to Realign - when you catch yourself in a loop of stress, scarcity, spiralling thought, stop and reset with a 3-step ritual:
· Journal the negative moment – not with blame, rather with honesty. “This happened. This is how I felt.”
· Ask: “What was I energetically focused on? What fear, belief, or story was I embodying?”
· Rewrite the energy – Not just in words… in feeling. What do you want to call in instead? Anchor into it with a sentence that lights you up: “I am calling in peaceful flow,” or “I trust my next step will be clear.”
Repeat this daily if needed. Your vibration is fluid, it responds to attention, not perfection.
Anchor Through Embodied Action - manifesting isn’t just mental. It’s emotional. Sensory. Physical. If you want to attract love, ask: how would I hold myself if I felt adored? How would I walk if I trusted life had my back? If you want abundance, where in your life can you treat yourself as worthy now - whether it’s using your favourite mug, lighting a candle, or dancing barefoot in your living room?
The truth is… your body often believes before your mind does. Let it lead. Let your cells hum with possibility. Let your nervous system be soothed by signals of safety and expansion. This is how your energy shifts — not in theory, in practice, in presence.Top of Form
There’s a story I’ve been carrying around with me like a prisoner’s ball and chain - one that’s shaped my reality more than I care to admit.
For years, I have found myself quietly holding back. Not from a lack of skill or drive. Not because I didn’t want to be seen or supported. Rather because somewhere deep in my subconscious, I came to believe that if I became too visible, if I let my work flourish, if clients came pouring in, if money flowed freely, someone would take it away from me.
This hasn’t been some abstract fear. It has been stitched together from real personal (and traumatic) experiences. Like the time I fell off the records of a local government body and had to sit before a panel of strangers and prove my very own existence, prove that I had been working all along as I somehow disappeared from their records. It was as if, overnight, the world decided I didn’t count. That I had vanished. Or when I started my first business, bright-eyed and naively optimistic. I wrote a business plan with the best of intentions, filled with belief, optimism, positivity. And then the taxman came. Demanding his share of money that I wasn’t making. Indeed, demanding more in taxes than I was attracting in revenue. It felt like being punished for daring to dream big.
Then there was the accountant. A professional I trusted, someone who was from the same background as myself, before I left the corporate world. And, yet, they repeatedly double-charged me, leaving me reeling with betrayal and self-doubt.
With one experience after another, without realising it, I absorbed a message that settled deep into my bones: Success isn’t safe. Money isn’t safe. Visibility comes at a cost.
And so I dimmed. I hesitated. I stayed and played small.
Not because I didn’t believe in the work I knew I was being called to do. Rather because some part of me believed I needed to protect myself from the very thing I was asking for.
As much as I would love to tell you that journaling daily, tapping regularly, breathing and releasing, all led to releasing this belief, the truth is that, years on, I’m still working on this.
This isn’t a tidy, tied-up-in-a-bow transformation story. It’s a messy work-in-progress. Some days, the fear still whispers. Some days, I feel it in my body - the pause, the flinch, the hesitation before I put something out into the world.
However, I see it now and I’m aware of what has been causing me to play and stay small. And that’s the most powerful part. Because now, I can meet that fear with compassion instead of shame. Now, I can say to myself, “You’re not broken, you’re protecting yourself with the tools you had”. Now, I can gently begin to rewire those stories. To remind my nervous system that abundance is not dangerous. That money is not a trapdoor.
As a result, over the last couple of years, I’ve started showing up differently. Sometimes in small ways, saying yes to opportunities that once scared me, or saying no to undervaluing myself and giving things for free. I’ve found myself speaking my truth with more boldness, creating from desire, not fear… and more.
And slowly, things are shifting.
Not all at once. Not in grand, cinematic ways. In subtle, beautiful moments of alignment when I choose to trust that being seen is safe, that success won’t be stolen, that I can invite in what I desire and feel secure in receiving it.
If you’ve ever felt the same (or similar), if your nervous system tenses at the thought of “too much,” if you’ve experienced gains followed by loss, if you quietly sabotage growth because some part of you is convinced it’ll cost you something, I see you. You’re not lazy. You’re not ungrateful. You’re not unworthy. You’re simply protecting yourself. And now, maybe, like me… you’re ready to begin healing that.
This is how we start manifesting differently. Not by bulldozing through our blocks. Rather by recognising the wisdom in them, understanding the stories that shaped them, and choosing (one small act at a time) to believe in a new truth.
It’s not perfect. However, it is powerful. And it’s real.
Your emotions are not a flaw to fix or something to push down, they are your inner compass, your vibrational GPS. Every feeling you experience is sending out a frequency, a signal to the universe saying, “This is where I am. This is what I’m available for”.
When you live in a loop of fear, frustration, or quiet avoidance, that signal gets scrambled. Your coordinates shift. You might be trying to move forward with your dreams, however emotionally, you’re sending mixed messages:“I want this, however I don’t trust it”, “I need change, however I’m scared it’ll hurt”, “I long for love, however I don’t believe I deserve it”.
And the universe? It’s not listening to your words. It’s tuning into your energy.
However, here’s the beautiful part: you can recalibrate. You can choose a new frequency, something that feels more aligned, more expansive, more you.
Maybe it’s confidence and trust. Maybe it’s ease and joy. Maybe it’s worthiness. When you begin to intentionally anchor into that frequency, when you breathe it in, walk in it, let it soften your nervous system, something changes. You stop chasing outcomes and you start becoming a match for what you truly want.
Because your mind, your body, your spirit… they’re always manifesting. Whether you realise it or not. The question is: what are they manifesting from? Tune in. Feel the signal you’re sending. And if it’s not what you want to receive, remember: you can shift it. One honest feeling at a time.
There comes a moment, often after the tears, the questioning, the quiet resentment, when something clicks. When you realise: this isn’t just happening to me... I’m part of it. And not in a way that blames, rather in a way that empowers. Recognising your ability to manifest (not just the beautiful synchronicities, the setbacks too) is nothing short of liberating. It’s a soul-level exhale. Suddenly, your struggles aren’t signs that you’re broken or forgotten. They’re proof of just how powerful you are. You’ve been manifesting all along. You just didn’t realise it.
That job that drained you, the missed opportunity, the repeating relationship pattern - what if they weren’t signs of failure, rather echoes of the energy you’d been holding deep down? The quiet belief that you weren’t enough. That things don’t work out for you. That it’s safer not to hope too much.
Now, however, something shifts. Frustration becomes insight. Victimhood gives way to possibility. You’re not stuck. You’re not cursed. You’re not unlucky. You’re a master manifester... who’s just been steering from an old map. And now? You get to choose a new one. You get to sit in the driver’s seat of your energy. You get to whisper to the universe, “I’m ready to co-create from a different place now”.
Because you’re not alone. You’re not unseen. You are supported in ways you may not yet comprehend. Every heartbeat, every thought, every feeling - you’ve been co-creating all along.
And now, you’re doing it consciously. And that changes everything.
Now it’s over to you… because this isn’t just about reading and nodding. It’s about gently, courageously stepping into the heart of your own transformation. And it begins with something simple, yet powerful: think back to a recent moment that felt heavy. Maybe you lost your keys right when you were running late. Maybe you missed a deadline you swore you wouldn’t. Maybe someone’s words landed hard, and you reacted with anger or withdrew in silence. Not huge catastrophes, yet moments that left a sting.
Now pause. Breathe. And ask yourself: What was the real emotion humming underneath that moment? Was it panic? Shame? Frustration? Helplessness? Let yourself feel it, just for a moment. Not to wallow, rather to witness. Because when you trace the emotional current beneath the event, you uncover the frequency you were vibrating with.
Now here’s where your power steps in. Choose differently.
Inhale, and feel the shift as you bring in calm. Resourcefulness. Grace. Imagine meeting that same moment again, this time grounded, steady, trusting. Let your whole being absorb the new resonance. And then, let it land with truth, declaring: “I choose to respond with clarity and grace”. Not because it erases the past, rather because it reclaims the future. This is how you change your energetic signature. This is how you rewrite the script. One breath. One moment. One empowered choice at a time.
No longer are you reacting to life. You’re co-creating it.
You’ve just seen it in a new light: maybe you have been manifesting all along, just not in the direction you hoped. That realisation doesn’t mean failure. It means potential.
The thoughts, fears, and hidden expectations shaping your reality aren’t punishments, they’re signals. Clues. And now that you can see them more clearly, you’re in a powerful place to shift them.
This next step offers insight, compassion, and a clearer path forward to help you create more of what you do want, and far less of what you don’t once you ask…
