Through this card, Archangel Zadkiel is inviting us to find solutions to any challenges, difficulties, stand-offs in our life; solutions that will be of benefit to everyone involved.

Often solutions tend to favour one party over another. When we seek solutions that benefit all parties equally, we may need to find a compromise, a middle ground.

Archangel Zadkiel's name means "Righteousness of God". He is the archangel who brings emotional balance and, so, helps us to find balanced and fair solutions.

He is also the archangel of forgiveness. We can and will never find or accept a solution if we're holding onto something too tightly, if we can only see and accept our own opinion. Archangel Zadkiel helps us to let go and forgive so we can achieve a balanced point of view in relation to others or, indeed, our own past experiences.

Finally, Archangel Zadkiel is the keeper of the violet flame, an energetic space where we can go to release and surrender anything that is no longer serving us.

The presence of Archangel Zadkiel reminds us that the key to success, the key to finding solutions, is moderation and compromise. It is through letting go and forgiving that we can heal ourselves and the situation in hand.

In his hands, Archangel Zadkiel is holding two cups or chalices. And it looks like he's pouring water from on into the other. I feel this symbolises the need for compromise when seeking the best solution for all parties involved. If one's cup is full whilst the other's cup is empty, it means that one party receives all the benefits from that solution whereas the other party receives none. In such situations it's important to find a balance where both cups carry the same amount of water.

Immediately behind the angel stands a handmade stone bridge. When you come to a river or any form of flowing water, it's always much easier to cross to the other side when there's a bridge. Bridges help us overcome barriers. Through this card we are being invited to overcome any barriers that may be stopping us reaching the other side of our current situation.

I feel it's important to highlight that the bridge appears to be an old handmade bridge. Such a bridge would take time, determination, and patience to build. It's not a structure that can be cobbled together quickly. Sometimes when we are seeking solutions, they require patience, they require us to work together so we can reach the solution faster, they require a determination and desire to ensure that all parties are served equally through the solution, and it takes time to reach that solution.

If we look at the mountains in relation to the bridge, the mountains appear to be far in the background. This says to me that, now that we have built the bridge, the real challenges, the challenges that once appeared to be insurmoutable, are now far behind us. Now's the time to step forward towards a solution.

The final symbol I want to touch on are the yellow flowers in the picture. They look a little like springtime daffodils to me.  Yellow is the colour of prosperity and success. Flowers are about expressing your emotions. And Springtime is about new beginnings, new blossomings.

When every party's ideas and viewpoints are considered in the drive to find a solution. When the diversity of ideas and thinking is invited and considered. When each party is approached and approaches with a forgiving and fair attitude, and can express themselves openly without fear of judgement, then you will find that the solution to the situation is one that is the strongest possible solution, one that brings success and prosperity to every party involved. Such solutions often herald new and exciting beginnings, breaking away from whatever was holding you in stealmate or blinded to finding a fair solution for all.
